Welcome Bicycle Hackers!

Welcome to the Bicycle Hacker wiki. (hosted by Wikidot) If your bicycle is significantly modified from stock, custom-built, of an unusual design or just plain weird, you can write it up and add photos for all the world to see!

The focus is on what you've done to make the machine what it is. What have you modified (hacked), added, built from scratch or kludged up from bits? How did you do it, what problems did you have to solve, what tools did you need and how long did it take you? This site is yours, you the bicycle hacker own it, so get writing.

To create a page about your machine, read the "How to edit pages" tutorial first, then enter a new page title in the "Create New Page" field and click the button. It's that simple, think Wikipedia, only for your unusual bicycles, tricycles, quads and whatever other human powered wheeled gadgets, contraptions and toys might be.

If you want to add photos, it might be a good idea to get a Flickr or Picasa account for hosting them. There are tools on the way for hosting pics locally, but they're going to be fairly limited capacity and will probably only be used by the admins and mods, so host media off-site. Hey, we're in the age of "Web 2.0", that's how you do it. ;-)
